Storm & Flood Damage Recovery in New Port Richey, FL
The opening is closed, the water is extracted, materials floodwater touched come out, and the structure is dried and rebuilt in that order. The opening is closed first, with tarps or board-up, so the building stops taking on water. Floodwater is extracted, and the porous materials it touched come out rather than dry, since it crossed ground outside. The structure is dried and re-read, and the rebuild waits until the readings and the roof both allow it.

Often needed alongside
- Emergency Water Extraction
Standing water is pumped and extracted around the clock, before it climbs the walls and soaks the subfloor. Same-day response where coverage allows.
- Structural Drying & Dehumidification
Sealed air movers and dehumidifiers bring framing, subfloor and drywall back to a measured dry standard, with daily readings logged from inside the material.
- Sewage & Contaminated Water Cleanup
Sewage and black-water losses are contained, the materials the water touched are removed and disposed of, hard surfaces are disinfected, and the space is dried to a reading.
Frequently asked questions
Does terrazzo come up after a loss?
Almost never. It is bonded to the slab, survives water well and is worth keeping. What it does is slow the slab from releasing moisture upward, so the drying is set up to pull from the edges and any opening already made. The floor is read with a meter rather than by eye before the base and cabinets go back.
Why does the floor keep reading wet at the walls?
Because the ground outside sits close to the level of the slab on these lots, so the perimeter is in damp soil and keeps being resupplied. The middle of the floor comes down normally while the edges lag. Those are read separately and the base trim stays off until they hold rather than until the room looks finished.
The block wall got wet. Does it have to be opened?
Not the block itself. Water sits in the hollow cores and leaves through the face, so the wall is dried in place with air moved across it. What comes off is anything fastened to it: furring, insulation board and the drywall, since those hold water against the block and slow the whole wall down.
