Groundwater & Basement Water Intrusion in Mesa, AZ

Basement seepage, failed sumps and water through the slab are extracted and dried, and the path from the ground is found so the floor stays dry next season. The path from the ground is named first: through the wall, up through the slab, back through a drain, or from a sump that stopped. The space is extracted and dried, with the porous materials the water touched removed, and the delivery is addressed, because a dried floor only stays dry if the water stops arriving.

Often needed alongside

  • Structural Drying & Dehumidification

Sealed air movers and dehumidifiers bring framing, subfloor and drywall back to a measured dry standard, with daily readings logged from inside the material.

  • Emergency Water Extraction

Standing water is pumped and extracted around the clock, before it climbs the walls and soaks the subfloor. Same-day response where coverage allows.

  • Mold Inspection & Testing

An independent assessor confirms whether the assembly that got wet is actually dry, whether growth started while it was not, and how far it reaches.

Frequently asked questions

It hardly rains here. How does a storm put water in the ceiling?

By arriving all at once. Much of the year's rain falls in a few short violent bursts, and a low-slope roof that copes with steady rain cannot clear that volume fast enough. Water backs up at the parapet or the drain and finds any seam, so the wet material is the ceiling board, the insulation above it and the top of the wall.

The room was dry the next day. Why did equipment stay?

Because the surfaces and the structure are far apart in this climate. With July highs near 106 degrees a ceiling can look and feel finished within hours while the framing above it and the insulation behind still hold water. The meter goes into the framing, and the readings decide the end rather than how the room feels.

Does the heat help or hurt after a storm?

Both, at different stages. In the hours before anyone arrives it drives water deeper into absorbent material and starts breaking down anything paper faced. Once equipment is running, the same heat makes this one of the fastest places to dry an open assembly. What the heat does to the material first is usually what decides how much is replaced.
