Groundwater & Basement Water Intrusion in Little Rock, AR

Basement seepage, failed sumps and water through the slab are extracted and dried, and the path from the ground is found so the floor stays dry next season. The path from the ground is named first: through the wall, up through the slab, back through a drain, or from a sump that stopped. The space is extracted and dried, with the porous materials the water touched removed, and the delivery is addressed, because a dried floor only stays dry if the water stops arriving.

Often needed alongside

  • Structural Drying & Dehumidification

Sealed air movers and dehumidifiers bring framing, subfloor and drywall back to a measured dry standard, with daily readings logged from inside the material.

  • Emergency Water Extraction

Standing water is pumped and extracted around the clock, before it climbs the walls and soaks the subfloor. Same-day response where coverage allows.

  • Mold Inspection & Testing

An independent assessor confirms whether the assembly that got wet is actually dry, whether growth started while it was not, and how far it reaches.

Frequently asked questions

One wall of the room is underground and the other opens to the yard. Does that change the drying?

It makes it two jobs in one room. The buried uphill wall behaves like a foundation: it gives up water slowly and is read at the base for days. The walkout side behaves like any above-grade room and is usually dry in two or three. The contractor sets equipment for the slow wall and keeps reading it after the open side has finished.

How long does the uphill wall keep reading wet after the rain stops?

Three or four days is normal, sometimes longer after a May storm. The hillside behind it drains through the soil for days, so the wall keeps receiving water when the sky is clear. With only one freezing month a year the ground never locks up to stop it. The dehumidifier stays until the base of that wall holds a reading, not until the forecast clears.

What comes up along the line where the floor meets the walkout door?

The flooring and its underlay for a foot or two either side of the door sill, and the sill itself if it is wood. Water tracks in along the joint between the slab and the door frame and spreads under the covering where nothing reads it. The contractor lifts that strip, dries the slab edge and the frame, and relays it once both hold.
