24/7 Emergency Water Extraction in Tuscaloosa, AL

Standing water is pumped and extracted around the clock, before it climbs the walls and soaks the subfloor. Same-day response where coverage allows. Free water is pumped and extracted first, from hard floors and out of carpet and pad, before it climbs further into drywall and subfloor. The wet edge is metered and marked while the water is fresh, and drying equipment goes in the same day, because extraction is where the size of the job is decided.

Often needed alongside

  • Structural Drying & Dehumidification

Sealed air movers and dehumidifiers bring framing, subfloor and drywall back to a measured dry standard, with daily readings logged from inside the material.

  • Sewage & Contaminated Water Cleanup

Sewage and black-water losses are contained, the materials the water touched are removed and disposed of, hard surfaces are disinfected, and the space is dried to a reading.

Frequently asked questions

How much water comes off one downspout?

Far more than people picture. A single downspout can serve a third of a roof, and an inch of rain on that area is several hundred gallons. All of it arrives at one point in a few minutes, which is why where it goes after it lands matters as much as the gutter that collected it.

Why does the block end up tipping the wrong way?

Because it is sitting on backfill. The soil beside a foundation was disturbed when the house was built and keeps consolidating for decades, so the outer end of the block settles while the end at the wall stays. Add the scouring the discharge itself does, and the block ends up pointing back at the house.

What works better than a splash block?

Getting the water further out. An extension carrying the discharge six or eight feet beyond the backfill, or a buried line to a proper outlet, puts it onto ground that is not against the foundation. It is the least expensive drainage work available and it deals with the largest single source of water at the wall.
