Contained removal
Mold Removal & Remediation in Lubbock, TX
Growth and the material it grew into come out under containment, what remains is cleaned, and the assembly is dried and read before anything closes it in. The area is sealed and put under negative air, affected porous material comes out, and what remains is cleaned and treated. The assembly is then dried and read to the same standard as any water loss before it is closed, because remediation over a still-wet assembly puts the same growth back behind new drywall.
No obligation: the assessment comes before any scope
Remediation here is the tail of a water job: growth is what an unfinished drying leaves behind, and removing it without finishing the drying puts it back. The contractor establishes how far the growth extends and what moisture is still feeding it, removes what grew, and dries and reads the assembly before it is closed. The service note below covers the sequence in this city.
Often needed alongside
- Mold Inspection & Testing
An independent assessor confirms whether the assembly that got wet is actually dry, whether growth started while it was not, and how far it reaches.
- Structural Drying & Dehumidification
Sealed air movers and dehumidifiers bring framing, subfloor and drywall back to a measured dry standard, with daily readings logged from inside the material.
Frequently asked questions
What do the turbines on the roof actually do?
They pull air out of the attic, and here they do it constantly. A turbine turns whenever the wind blows, and on the High Plains that is most of the time, so the attic is held below the pressure of the house beneath it rather than simply being ventilated.
Why does a depressurized attic matter?
Because it draws from the house. A lower pressure above means air is pulled up out of the living space through every gap in the ceiling, and that air carries moisture with it into a cold roof space. The result is a damp attic with no leak anywhere.
Is more ventilation the answer?
It is usually the opposite. Adding ventilation increases the draw, so the sensible move is sealing the ceiling plane so the attic stops pulling from the house, and then letting the turbines vent the roof space rather than the rooms. That is the order it is done in.
