Mold Removal & Remediation in Allentown, GA

Growth and the material it grew into come out under containment, what remains is cleaned, and the assembly is dried and read before anything closes it in. The area is sealed and put under negative air, affected porous material comes out, and what remains is cleaned and treated. The assembly is then dried and read to the same standard as any water loss before it is closed, because remediation over a still-wet assembly puts the same growth back behind new drywall.

The pro who inspects is the pro who quotes

Remediation here is the tail of a water job: growth is what an unfinished drying leaves behind, and removing it without finishing the drying puts it back. The contractor establishes how far the growth extends and what moisture is still feeding it, removes what grew, and dries and reads the assembly before it is closed. The service note below covers the sequence in this city.

Often needed alongside

  • Mold Inspection & Testing

An independent assessor confirms whether the assembly that got wet is actually dry, whether growth started while it was not, and how far it reaches.

  • Structural Drying & Dehumidification

Sealed air movers and dehumidifiers bring framing, subfloor and drywall back to a measured dry standard, with daily readings logged from inside the material.

Frequently asked questions

What is kaolin clay?

A soft white clay, mined commercially across this part of the state for paper and ceramics. Where it has not been dug it lies a short way beneath the sandy topsoil, and it is about as impermeable as ground gets.

Why does the ground drain and then stop?

Because the two layers behave in opposite ways. Rain goes into the sand at the surface readily, which makes the ground look well drained, and then it reaches the kaolin and cannot go any further, so it fills the sand from the bottom up.

What does that mean for a septic field?

That it has very little depth to work in, which is worth knowing here. A field disposing into a couple of feet of sand over a seal fails in a wet February however well it was built, and that is a site condition rather than a fault.
