Contained removal
Mold Removal & Remediation in Hialeah, FL
Growth and the material it grew into come out under containment, what remains is cleaned, and the assembly is dried and read before anything closes it in. The area is sealed and put under negative air, affected porous material comes out, and what remains is cleaned and treated. The assembly is then dried and read to the same standard as any water loss before it is closed, because remediation over a still-wet assembly puts the same growth back behind new drywall.
No obligation: the assessment comes before any scope
Remediation here is the tail of a water job: growth is what an unfinished drying leaves behind, and removing it without finishing the drying puts it back. The contractor establishes how far the growth extends and what moisture is still feeding it, removes what grew, and dries and reads the assembly before it is closed. The service note below covers the sequence in this city.
Often needed alongside
- Mold Inspection & Testing
An independent assessor confirms whether the assembly that got wet is actually dry, whether growth started while it was not, and how far it reaches.
- Structural Drying & Dehumidification
Sealed air movers and dehumidifiers bring framing, subfloor and drywall back to a measured dry standard, with daily readings logged from inside the material.
Frequently asked questions
Why does a dry-looking floor still mean a long job?
Because the floor never took any of it. Terrazzo is ground stone in cement and absorbs effectively nothing, so everything that crossed it has gone into the base of the walls it reached. The floor looking fine within the hour is the reason the wall bases are wet, and those are what set the length of the job.
Is the terrazzo taken up to get at what is underneath?
Almost never, and that shapes the plan. An original ground floor cannot be matched once it is cut, so the work goes around it: wall bases opened, block cores checked and dried from the side rather than from above. Where the slab underneath genuinely has to be reached, that is a decision taken slowly and with the owner.
What order does a floor loss get worked in here?
Backwards from what people expect. Extraction off the surface takes an hour because nothing has soaked in; then the wall bases come open along every run the water reached, and that is where the days go. The floor is finished first and the walls last, which is the opposite of a house with carpet or timber.
