Mold Removal & Remediation in Fort Lauderdale, FL

Growth and the material it grew into come out under containment, what remains is cleaned, and the assembly is dried and read before anything closes it in. The area is sealed and put under negative air, affected porous material comes out, and what remains is cleaned and treated. The assembly is then dried and read to the same standard as any water loss before it is closed, because remediation over a still-wet assembly puts the same growth back behind new drywall.

Independent local pros · containment before removal

Remediation here is the tail of a water job: growth is what an unfinished drying leaves behind, and removing it without finishing the drying puts it back. The contractor establishes how far the growth extends and what moisture is still feeding it, removes what grew, and dries and reads the assembly before it is closed. The service note below covers the sequence in this city.

Often needed alongside

  • Mold Inspection & Testing

An independent assessor confirms whether the assembly that got wet is actually dry, whether growth started while it was not, and how far it reaches.

  • Structural Drying & Dehumidification

Sealed air movers and dehumidifiers bring framing, subfloor and drywall back to a measured dry standard, with daily readings logged from inside the material.

Frequently asked questions

Why does the air conditioning stop instead of leaking?

Because that is what the float switch is for. When the primary drain blocks and water backs up into the pan, the switch cuts the equipment rather than letting the pan fill. The house gets warm, which is unwelcome in August and is also the cheapest warning anybody gets.

What happens if the switch fails?

The pan fills and overflows, which in a closet means water into the floor and in an attic or a garage means water into the ceiling below. Switches stick, wires come off during service, and some units never had one fitted. Nobody finds out which until the drain blocks.

What should happen when the system shuts down?

The drain gets cleared before the switch is reset, not after. Resetting it and carrying on is common and it simply refills the pan. Flushing the line, treating it and checking that the secondary drain is open is the work; the shutdown was the system telling you to do it.
