Contained removal
Mold Removal & Remediation in Moreno Valley, CA
Growth and the material it grew into come out under containment, what remains is cleaned, and the assembly is dried and read before anything closes it in. The area is sealed and put under negative air, affected porous material comes out, and what remains is cleaned and treated. The assembly is then dried and read to the same standard as any water loss before it is closed, because remediation over a still-wet assembly puts the same growth back behind new drywall.
No obligation: the assessment comes before any scope
Remediation here is the tail of a water job: growth is what an unfinished drying leaves behind, and removing it without finishing the drying puts it back. The contractor establishes how far the growth extends and what moisture is still feeding it, removes what grew, and dries and reads the assembly before it is closed. The service note below covers the sequence in this city.
Often needed alongside
- Mold Inspection & Testing
An independent assessor confirms whether the assembly that got wet is actually dry, whether growth started while it was not, and how far it reaches.
- Structural Drying & Dehumidification
Sealed air movers and dehumidifiers bring framing, subfloor and drywall back to a measured dry standard, with daily readings logged from inside the material.
Frequently asked questions
How long does a slab loss take to dry here in the dry season?
Often under a week, which is quick by most standards. Warm dry outside air does a great deal of the work once the pad and any trapped covering are gone, so equipment is supplementing the climate rather than fighting it. The slow part is not the drying but finding how far the pad carried the water in the first place.
Does the carpet come back after clean water?
The carpet often can be saved; the pad almost never is. Pad is open cell foam that holds many times its weight and cannot be dried in place under a carpet, so it is pulled, the concrete is dried, and the carpet is relaid over new pad. Where the carpet was already worn it is usually not worth the labor.
Why is the base of the drywall being cut when the carpet was the wet part?
Because paper-faced board wicks upward from the floor faster than it dries downward. Water that spread under the pad sat against the bottom edge of every wall it reached, and the bottom two inches are wet even where the surface reads fine. A narrow cut lets the cavity be read and dried rather than guessed at.
